During the summer of 2019 we had the pleasure of getting our teeth into an industry first, multi-sensory, immersive experience for Puma’s 5th Avenue flagship store. ‘Skill Cube’ went live on August 29th on the day of the flagship store opening
Conceived and developed by industry giants Green Room Design, the ‘Skill Cube’ is a unique digital 1-2-1 personalised experience of training sessions delivered by world famous sporting idols Anton Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku and Louis Hamilton.
Velvet Badger were commissioned to produce the digital creative content and in turn invited Box Of Toys Audio to create an immersive 4.1 audio suite to compliment the experience.
All content was created for a full 270° floor to ceiling environment and rendered at a whopping 12k resolution. A beautiful Puma branded locker room was crafted to house football superstars Griezmann and Lukaku as well as bringing a full 80,000 seat San Siro stadium to life.
We built the bespoke multi layered audio suite for a 4.1 surround experience that propelled each session to another level. The entire suite consisted of hundreds of assets from punchy music stings and realistic foley to high tech GFX sound design. Through clinical asset creation and management we were able to successfully deliver a synergistic audio library to be integrated by the Green Room team.
While each training experience shared a common tonality and theme, the music and GFX sound design for each sports ambassador was tweaked to reflect their personality and sporting style. In this way the Skill Cube audio was branded as an overall experience but personalised to the users preferred sports idol.
